Position:Shelter Therapist (full-time)
Department: Family Services Women and Children’s Shelter
Supervisor: Family Violence Program Director
General Duties and Responsibilities: The primary function of the Shelter Therapist is to provide skilled counseling for individuals and/or groups who are residents of the shelter. This includes developing and managing treatment plans, coordinating regular case review, and maintaining records of clients seen and services provided.
Qualifications and Experience: Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy; LPC, LMFT, or licensed social worker or eligible for licensure with supervision provided by Family Services. Excellent interpersonal skills, good organizational skills, and ability to work independently. Valid Texas driver’s license, CPR and first aid certification required. Bilingual a plus.
Salary: Depends on experience and education.
